National Headquarters Building of Bangladesh Scouts

The National Scout Bhaban (National Headquarters Building) of Bangladesh Scouts is one of the architecturally important landmarks of Dhaka - the capital city of Bangladesh. It was established in 1982 which is situated at the cross-section of Inner Circular Road at Kakrail, the Prime and aristocrat location of the city. It's a fifteen-storied building with attractive architectural view. Fourteen floors are rented for commercial purpose and the rest is used by Bangladesh Scouts for Scouting activities. Its income adds the financial strength of Bangladesh Scouts. Total floor area is 7,125 sqm. The total area of the land is 0.867acre. For strengthening the activities of young people. Bangladesh Scouts has launched a plan for establishing a Sky-skapper Centennial Building in the remaining area, in memory of observing the hundred years of the Scout movement.

National Scout Training Centre, Mouchak, Gazipur.

Bangladesh Scouts has a large unique National Training Centre at Mouchak in the district of Gazipur, very close to the capital city Dhaka. The distance is only 42 KM from Dhaka by Dhaka - Tangail Highway. The centre is in a forest ( Shal forest) area with natural scenic beauty. It was initially established in 1961 in a land area of 10.61 acres sanctioned by then the Government. With the increasing demand, the area was expanded gradually. At present the total area is 88.335 acres.

This training centre remains busy throughout the year. Different national and international Scout activities are organized here with full infrastructural and logistic support. At this moment the National Scout Training Centre can accommodate almost 15,000 Scouts during Jamboree, Camporee, Moot and other similar activities. The centre provides facility of one large Administrative Building, Session cum training hall, Cub Building, Dormitory, Cottage, Cafeteria etc. There are two large ponds for water activities . One large parade ground and open forest area which facilitates in organizing large training events. This complex is also enriched by models of Rail engine and Jet plane. One Scout museum and six picnic huts attract the Scouts and general public.

Mouchak training centre is also equipped with telephone, fax, internet-facilities. Market, shopping centre,post Office and Banks are adjacent to the centre. This national Scout Training centre is an important and significant landmark in the country. Millions of Scouts are proud of it !

Regional Scout Training Centers:.

Bangladesh Scouts Khulna Region:
 Bangladesh Scouts Khulna Region is situated at Pulerhat in the district of Jessore. At present the total area of land is 11.70 acres. Different Programmes and Regional Scout activities are organized here with full Infrastructure and logistic support. The Training Centre has one large Administrative cum Dormitory Building, Cub Building, Session Hall, Staff Quarter, Mosque, Pond etc. This training Centre is also equipped with telephone and fax.

     

 

Bangladesh Scouts Rajshahi Region:
 Bangladesh Scouts Rajshahi Region is situated at Nawdapara in the district of Rajshahi. Different Programmes and Regional Scout activities are organized here with full Infrastructure and logistic support. The Training Centre has one large Administrative Building, Session Hall, Semi pacca Building prayer room, Pond etc. This training Centre is also equipped with telephone .

     

Bangladesh Scouts Training Center, Barisal Region:

Bangladesh Scouts, Barisal Region starts its journey independently from 14 May 1996. The Regional Training centre established at Rupatali which is adjacent to the Barisal City. The area of land at the training centre is 1.45 acre. The Regional training centre building has been constructed which has 3 Room and 1 Conference Room, 1 two storied Cub building, which is being used for conducting training programmes of Barisal Regions.
