The Special
Events division of Bangladesh Scouts started
its journey in the year 2003. The special
activities under training, Programme and
Community Development have been incorporated
under the Special Events of Bangladesh Scouts.
The events which are considered as Special
events are INDABA, JOTA, JOTI, Adventure
camp and the like.
One National Commissioner and one Deputy
National Commissioner is working with this
division.

Cancer Survivors
day:
For the first time in Bangladesh,
the Cancer Survivors day was observed in
a befitting manner on 4 June 2006. About
1000 Cub Scouts, Scouts Na Rover Scout took
part in the rally to observe the day. The
rally started from from the National Headquarters
of Bangladesh scouts and ended at Shgahbagh
of the Dhaka City. |
Children Fair:
The Children Products and
Education fair was held 7-11 September 2006
at the Bashundhara City, Dhaka. Two stalls
were set up from Bangladesh Scouts in the
fair.
51th JOTA and 12th
JOTI
Like other NSOs Bangladesh
Scouts also organized the 51th Jamboree
On the Air(JOTA) and 12th Jamboree on the
Internet from 17-19 October 2008 at National
Scout Training Center, Mouchak, Gazipur.
A total of 146 Scouts and leaders took part
in the programme.
